The tour will center around three main commercial cities of the country i.e. Colombo, Kandy and Negombo.
Day 1 – Colombo
Colombo, is a city that bridges both the old and the new, it is the home for old colonial buildings as well as skyscrapers. This commercial capital of Ceylon is the center of economic and political arena and also this city has many great places of visit. Thus we have allocated two days of the four day package to show you around this busy city.
As you arrive at the Bandaranayke International Airport, our tour guide for you will be waiting to welcome you and escort you to the hotel. When you are ready we will start our journey of exploring the city.
Our first stop for day one will the National Museum of Colombo and also known as the Sri Lanka National Museum that is situated in the heart of Colombo. This is the largest museum in the country and it will give its visitors an insight as to the rich history of this beautiful island. After the museum tour we will take you out on to have lunch at a nearby place of your choice as this a city that has great food of any style within a few meters distance. After relaxing at the hotel we will take you out at the night to give you the nightlife experience of Sri Lanka. The city will be lit with lights when the sun goes down. We offer night clubs, karaoke, great food by the beach and many more.
Day 2 – Colombo
The second day is allotted for sightseeing and shopping. We have arranged a private city tour hence the itineraries could be tailored around you to meet your needs. The Galle face green, the old Parliament building, the New Parliament, the Independence Square, the Independence Arcade are a few of the itineraries that are on our list of which you can choose from. After the city tour and after having lunch we will take you shopping, be it clothing, gems, souvenirs, books or anything Colombo will offer you the ideal places to get them for a reasonable price. After the city tour we have arranged the to take you to Kandy, where you will spend the third day of your vacation. Kandy is situated about 140KMs from Colombo and we can reach there approximately within 4 hours’ time.
Day 3 – Kandy
You will reach this beautiful city on the night of your second day, we will check you into the hotel and let you relax and spend the night before you embark upon an adventure cultural tour the next day.
Kandy is famously known as the cultural center of Sri Lanka, given its History and the vibrant culture of the people still living there. While being the cultural center Kandy is also the religious center of this country so we have on our tour included the Temple of the Tooth relic which is the highest place of worship of the Buddhists. After worshiping the sacred temple we will take you on a walk around the Kandy Lake where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and have lunch at a boutique hotel by the side.
In the afternoon if you are interested in flowers we could take you to one of the famous botanical gardens in the country, the Peradeniya Botanical Garden. This Botanical Garden is the home to a wide variety of flowers and some endangered plants and the beauty would leave you spellbound. Furthermore if you are not a flowery person but instead a more adventurous sole we will arrange a small hike in the Hanthana mountains.
You will spend the night in your hotel and taste some local cuisine and depart to Negombo where you will spend the last day of vacation.
Day 4 – Negombo
On the morning of your last day we will take you to Negombo from Kandy which is only a three hours’ drive.
Sri Lanka being an island is blessed with a beautiful coast all around thus a visit to the beach is mandatory while you are here. Hence we have included Negombo to this package as Negombo claims to have one of the best beaches that is there in the island. After three days of traveling we will leave the fourth and the final day of your vacation to relax under the sun and have a swim in the beautiful waves. And if you are interested we could arrange a watersport like snorkeling or diving.
We would take you back to Colombo Bandaranayke International Airport from the beach where we will bid you farewell, until we meet you again.
