Family Tour to Sri Lanka

I contacted Olanka online about our planned family trip to Sri Lanka. Thamashiya did a great job in pulling together an itinerary that ensured we visited all the sites we wanted to see. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage kids. Our driver was Ali and he was fantastic. Excellent spoken English and a very safe driver. Believe me, in Sri Lanka, you want a safe driver! Nothing was too difficult and he always accommodated our wants and needs. He took time to explain things, provide us with our options and then help us make decisions. We also had Huzni the photographer from Olanka on our trip which really added to the experience. He was also very knowledgable and had excellent English too. Ali and Huzni joined us for many meals, and were both excellent company. We were quite active and did a number of hikes - some sunrise, some sunset, visited a number of national parks, ate at many local restaurants, and generally really enjoyed the culture, food and people. By choice, we caught a number of local trains between some centres. Olanka, Thamashiya, driver Ali and chief photographer Huzni all added to our experience and ensured everything was seamless. Honeymoon Tour to Sri Lanka

Myself and my finacée recently returned from a trip to Sri Lanka that was organised by Olanka Travels. We had a wonderful trip starting in Negombo and finishing in Bentota. Our agent Salini was incredibly helpful and quick with responses to any queries that we had. As my partner is a wheelchair user we asked that the tour cater for this need insofar as is possible. Salini put together a trip that covered landmarks and experiences such as the Yalla National Park, a visit to the beautiful town of Ella and a trip to a sea turtle hatchery, with many more locations besides. Both Salini and Dilan (our Driver) have excellent English which meant that there were no communication issues whatsoever. We could not have done this trip without our Driver, Dilan. He was very competent in his driving, very easy to get along with and we benefitted greatly from his experience as he was able to advise us on the best times to set off etc. and otherwise tell us what we needed when going to a particular location. He has excellent English and really made our trip possible through his knowledge and experience. He also helped without having to be asked when we needed assistance with the wheelchair such as a flights of stairs/steps etc. After 10 days in his company I think it more accurate to can him a friend than a driver. Thank you Dilan. We felt very safe throughout our time in Sri Lanka and would encourage those that are considering a trip to Sri Lanka to go ahead and book it. It is a beautiful place with a lovely people and the local economy benefits from every visitor that they get.

Family Tour to Sri Lanka

Dear Ravi and Fernando, I hope you are doing well and also I also i hope you remember our travelling family. This time I'm contacting you with my friend Alfredo, who is planning a trip to Sir Lanka, more or less the same round we did that time, but you can give him different option. I told him that we had had a nice experience with your service. So, we felt like we had your attention all to ourselves during our visit to Sri Lanka. You had arranged our tour and catered to all our needs as well as developed a personalized tour with our own guides and driver, which was a privilege that we will not forget. Each aspect of the trip was truly lovely. The driver, was prompt, if not early, courteous, and professional. The hotels were perfect in terms of either location, amenities, and/or unique structures. However, the most unique part of the trip was having access to educated and well versed guides. To learn the history throughout our trip and to evaluate paintings, sculptures, artwork in temples and the alike and understand the meaning provided so much substance to our trip. As family travelers, you constantly contacted us during our trip to ensure we were ok.

Family Tour to Maldives

It was amazing experience , the visit of Mali. Actually we have planned small budget and when reviwed in Google I got a good review of olanka. When I drop a message the reply was so fast and all the arrangements in Mali was amazing. Malki, the tour consultant was quite directed me and in entire trip she was very caring in each day. She was very prompt in gathering all our requirements and she was very professional. We had a long discussion and she has answered all my questions with very useful advises as she knew the place. I would strongly recommend her to anyone who is planning to visit Maldives. The arrangements was amazing and * days tour gone systematically. The actual trip was also well planned. We did not face any issues whatsoever. Maldives is very beautiful place to visit and enjoying different activities, and Olanka Travel agency are the right choice to facilitate your visit and making your dreams turns true. Cricket Tour of Sri Lanka July 2019

We have booked our cricket tour with Olanka 2019 july (this month). Olanka travel guys were wonderful. Very helpful with our tour group. We were travelling with under 16 school cricket team with parents from Wellington NZ. They were very helpful especially Pabasara and Randima and whole Olanka team. The bus service was amazing and the driver was awesome. Kept us safe all the way through. Always on time for us and very obliging and understanding our needs. We could not have done this trip without our Driver. He was very competent in his driving, very easy to get along with and we benefitted greatly from his experience as he was able to advise us on the best times to set off etc. and otherwise tell us what we needed when going to a particular location. He has excellent English and really made our trip possible through his knowledge and experience. He also helped without having to be asked when we needed assistance. Family Tour to Sri Lanka

We decided to take a quick get away to celebrate the birthdays of my two year old son and I. Our last minute planning due to my husband managing to take some time off from work meant we didn’t have time to do too much research but were clear on a few criteria that we needed fulfilled. After a little googling, I chanced upon Olanka Travels having read the reviews one night about 5 days before our selected dates of travel. A young lady named Salani took down all my requests and before I was asleep that very night, I had a tentative itinerary in my inbox! We liaised again over the next two days to make changes in the hotel choices (I had found one online I liked which Salani liaised with and managed to price match) and complete the itinerary. I had made the following important requests: - a clean car that would accompany us during the trip
- an experienced driver noting that we have young infant on board
- a car seat that would secure the child’s safety for the journey
- a comfortable hotel room giving the child space to move around
- not too hectic an itinerary but covering the main sites of the area
- high chair facility at the hotel to ensure meals are comfortable for the infant 

Salani not only delivered but exceeded our expectations. A final and most important note must go out to Janith, our driver who accompanied us on this wonderful journey. He was polite, respectful, hygienic, punctual and most of all a safe, experienced and pleasant driver. A big thank you to Salani and Janith from us for making our visit so memorable.

Honeymoon Tour to Vietnam

This April,2019, I made a plan to visit Vietnam, and upon recommendation of my son in law, we contacted Olanka Travel and they assigned us one of their tour consultant Ms Isurika Sadhani De Silva We gave her our plan . Our Vietnam trip was like a fairy tale, she was in touch with us even before we landed and during our stay in Vietnam. She really made our trip a memorable one. Olanka/Isurika provided the best value. We are glad to receive an amazing service from Olanka travel which was managed by Ms Isurika and would like to thank Ms Isurika for her time and support that she ensured us to have a holiday as special as she said. Amazing Tour to Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a very beautiful place and olanka travels made it possible so that our trip becomes the most memorable one. Heshanie is very sweet and friendly person and she helped us book our itineraries for the whole trip. She managed to get us discounts in some hotels and upgrades. Charith is a humble, friendly person. He entertained us with sharing histories of Sri Lanka and personal as well. He is a very funny guy. We had a lot of fun especially in the train ride. That was a really great experience with beautiful sceneries. All arrangements like our transportation , stay , food , activities , sight seeing and all that was expected were as per the commitments and was as per the expectations . Thank you so much Olanka Travels for a great experience of our lovely honeymoon start to end. The communication during the sales stage was great. Maheshi, our sales rep and contact throughout the trip was excellent. She tailored our itinerary until we were satisfied and was always available despite the time difference before the holiday. Landing in Sri Lanka was nice easy with our driver arranged by Olanka waiting with our names at the arrivals area. The itinerary and trip were great. There were some long journeys but if you want to squeeze as much as you can within 9 days, then travelling is a must. Our driver, Kaushlya was great. He was kind, talkative and made us feel safe the entire holiday. His knowledge of Sri Lanka was excellent, and we felt safe during the long drives. He also took great pride in looking after his car. It was always clean and comfortable.

The hotels selected by Maheshi at Olanka Travels were also amazing. We even received a free upgrade on one of them! She also provided us with a small gift on our departure. Thank you Olanka Travels for a great holiday for organizing such a wonderful honeymoon tour for both of us!

Anniversary Tour to Phuket

"Our trip to Phuket was amazing.Our Sri Lankan agent Olanka Travels they did a superb job by arranging everything to make us more comfortable. We enjoyed plenty of breathtaking views on phi phi island,James bond island,Kata beach and Pathong beach. Entire experience including snorkeling, canoe, long tail boat ride and travel on a sea angle cruise were so special. For me best part of my tour was Siam Niramit show where i experienced the real Thai culture, Thai music and dancing. Highly recommend for any body to watch this spectacular thai cultural show.there is no two words ,definitely Phuket should be on everyones list to visit.

Anniversary Tour to Sri Lanka

We’ve just returned from a truly brilliant holiday in Sri Lanka arranged by Olanka Travels.
Our tour consultant, Manori, was excellent whilst arranging the holiday. She put together several itinerary options then helped us to refine our tour so that it matched what we wanted to do with the hotels that we wanted to stay in. She was also happy to work in hotels from our own research, so there was complete flexibility to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for.

Manori also followed up regularly throughout the tour to ensure that everything was going well and to check whether we had any problems. It was great to have this personal follow-up. We certainly felt that Olanka was there for us should we have had any problems (we did not) and the team really seemed to care that we had a good time.

The tour itself was brilliant, Sri Lanka is such a beautiful country and everyone is very friendly. Going with a driver/guide is definitely the way to go and Asela our Olanka driver was great. He also had top knowledge of Sri Lanka both in terms of where we should go and also providing good commentary about Sri Lanka along the way. Importantly, there was no coaxing us to go to certain places to buy ‘whatever’ which put us in complete control of our holiday with no wasted time or feeling of being ripped off.

Great holiday and one we will always remember. I would highly recommend Olanka Travels to anyone. Excellent and very professional service from start to finish with a very personal touch.

Photography Tour to Sri Lanka

The services provided by Olanka Travels were excellent. Olanka staff were friendly, established good rapport with the tour participants and showed good local knowledge. The hotels provided were good; clean and furnished room, swimming pool and helpful staff. Our meals consist of a good spread of both local and international dishes, and at unique settings too. We had dinner at camp fire, breakfast by the river and lunch in a restaurant that offers panoramic view of Colombo city. I believe the needs of every tour participant were well taken care of during the trip.

There are a lot more to see and experience in Sri Lanka, and I will visit this lovely country again in the near future, with Olanka Travels as my local travel agent.

Unforgettable Journey to Sri Lanka

Thanks to Olanka Travels who organized us a very fabulous and an unforgettable tour. Their vastly experienced team guided us in all aspects of the tour till our departure. One of the accommodation that we were provided with was at Ravnidu Denawak's house ,the Olanka Travels Managing Director .Over there the entertainment facilities and food were super quality similar to a hotel. Sri Lanka Golf & Sight Seeing Tours

Booked our (3 couples) Sri Lanka Golf & Sight Seeing tours through Olanka Travel for a week in October 2014. It was a perfect tailor made trip by Ann of Olanka Travel to accommodate our sight seeing and playing golf at Royal Colombo Golf Club, Victoria Golf Club in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya Golf Club in Nuwara Eliya. Amazing Family Trip to Wonder of Asia, Sri Lanka

No words to express how much we got excited with such an amazing experience given by Olanka Travels. We had a superb and a fantastic experience in Sri Lanka! This was our first visit and we hope to come again soon. The promptness of our tour consultant, Ann was truly passionate to witness and the way she designed our tour programme was unbelievable. An Incredible Journey to the Paradise of Sri Lanka

Olanka Travels indeed is a wonderful travelling service provider who can cater your needs very well. Starting from the enquiry till the departure, Olanka Travels performed an exotic way of hosting travellers. Our tour consultant, Ms. Nimansala, was absolutely a very capable character who knows everything in details about her country, passion for travelling and has tailor made a beautiful itinerary. We initially made some changes and Nimansala patiently arranged everything accordingly with almost prompt responses. A BIG HUG TO NIMANSALA for your lovely work and making our dream a reality. So then, our guide, Mr. Roshan also a very helpful person and took us around his country as we wished. He was a very punctual fellow having safe and good driving skills also the knowledge he had about his country was brilliant. The most noted specialty and the happiest moment in our tour was that we were able to plan out another precious donation for a selected child orphanage and Olanka Travels also gave their maximum support for this in arranging all the necessary stuffs and items to gift the children. It was so amazing to see the beautiful smiles of this land of love and a special thank goes to Olanka Travels and Nima as well as Roshan for making our vacation more precious with much more values.

Fabulous Family tour to Sri Lanka

Some of my friends and my wife’s family visited Sri Lanka for our wedding in the August. I spoke to Maheshi about planning a tour for them. I wanted to give them a good time and was worried about the tour arrangements. So I was asking a lot of questions from Maheshi. I still remember what she told me,” you got a wedding to plan, so you take care of that, let me take care of your friends and family” Actually, she did. All my friends were over the moon. Way to go Olanka. We travel often but have found this company to be one of the most prompt for response and service. We were welcomed with our gentle English speaking guide. He took care to share point outall facts about his country. Totally recommend! Just check for Holidays in Sri Lanka before you book as they have many and this may affect travel! Olanka sent us emails transparently for everything, gave good recommendations and organized everything very well Thanks for the excellent service and we are waiting for another tour to have with you in future!

A Great Holiday in Sri Lanka

Great experience from start to finish with Ishara and Dugles. A After reading a lot of reviews, I approached Olanka through the chat feature available on their website. I was assigned with delightful Ishara who showed the enthusiasm throughout, even when we all came up with conflicting ideas on how the trip should go. She made the plan, suggested a few good places to stay and visit. Dugles was a good driver, friendly and very supportive to any needs of us through our journey of 6 days. Thanks for Olanka for making our spending time in Sri Lanka a comfortable and amazing experience. All round excellent! Got to spend 5 nights and 6 days in Sri Lanka and would definitely recommend the country and Olanka to all. I have to say I saw only smile and laughter on their faces when they came back! The hotels had excellent locations, beautiful interior and rooms, brilliant service from the transport driver and guide. All the people involved were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. A Lovely Tour to Sri Lanka!

I fell in love with Sri Lanka before I arrived! It was when Nima from Olanka provided me with my itinerary. Honestly I went through the itinerary with a fine tooth comb as I was a bit nervous booking with a tour group I didn't know. But Nima answered every one of my queries and made changes to the itinerary as I wished (which were minor as the itinerary was amazing- especially the hotels). The entire process was soo smooth they planned everything to the best detail. The recommendations of the hotels were spot on. All with great prices, food, and scenic views.
Our driver was also amazing. Janith was proactive, kind hearted and always smiling. Also the best driver I know! He was knowledgeable and very well connected. We always got the best staff for our activities. He had all the required Intel of every location and knew all the best spots and Instagram friendly locations.
What an amazing country. I'd go again in a heart beat! It sure was an amazing experience thanks to Olanka.

Unforgettable Memories in such a Lovely Paradise, Sri Lanka!!!

There was no regrets whatsoever for choosing Olanka Travels to plan out our short holidays in Sri Lanka. Our agent Maheshi has been nothing but attentive, efficient and extremely patient with planning our holidays based on our preferences. Most of the hotels we stayed in were lovely. Not forgetting our drivers Nuwan and Lalith who were punctual all throughout, very helpful and knowledgeable. They both brought us to their preferred restaurants that serve authentic Sri Lankan food and the food was amazing. The hotels they opt for us was awesome. We had a great time there as well as the food menu was great.
Overall in one word, the arrangements, tour, traveling, food and experience was awesome or above that. We left part of our hearts in Sri Lanka. I do really and sincerely Express my gratitude to them for giving us wonderful memories and experience and suggest them for others for their superb services. A wonderful Tour to Sri Lanka!

I reached out to Olanka Travels to book and they were beyond amazing! From the moment I got in touch with the Olanka Travels - Heshanie who was our Olanka contact went above and beyond to book our customized tour taking all of our detailed and specific requests and making them into a reality. We also had an amazing tour guide and driver who also FANTASTIC! He was knowledgeable and his driving was excellent. Our driver was wonderful, willing to do anything that we wanted and gave us the right amount of privacy. Every detail was taken care of; all we had to do was show up and enjoy our holiday. Best Trip to Maldives by Olanka!!

Lasithi (trip planner) was great!!!!
The Lasithi (trip planner) with this travel agency was the best agent I have ever worked with. She answered the questions and delivered an itinerary for us that captured exactly what we were looking for my sister and her husband, the first trip to the Maldives. Overall this was the lowest stress trip. They loved that transportation for the trip was always on time and professionally staffed. All tickets for activities were covered. And the guides for most of the sites visited were truly were passionate about explaining.
About Lasithi, she was very proactive during the whole trip, once she helped us at 3 AM (early morning) when my sister and my brother in law, stuck at the airport while the Immigration. I really appreciate the work and dedication she showed towards them.

Vietnam with Olanka

We had an amazing trip and Dilini did an amazing job in arranging everything in Vietnam. From receiving us in Hanoi to the final goodbye in Ho Chi Minh City, everything was fantastic. The upgrades we received, the hotels that we stayed in, the lunch that was arranged, the vehicle that was provided, the tour guides we were provided — everything was above our expectation. Among all, the best was at Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. Kien, our guide in Hanoi was one of the most amazing guide I have met. He was so friendly, kind and so helpful to us.

SRI LANKA-Don't miss this paradise on earth!

My family and I visited Sri Lanka in the period August 16 –March 9 2019. Olanka Travels helped us enormously to organize our trip around the country. Sri Lanka proved a miracle on earth! Wonderful landscape, kind people, excellent gastronomy, very comfortable hotels. Olanka Travels had accommodated all our requests and were very attentive on all the details of our journey. We in fact asked for transportation initially. Starting from booking our flights to organizing our itinerary, Heshani from Olanka Travels was extremely helpful and was literally 24/7 available for us. During our 3 weeks trip, we were fortunate to have Mahesh with us, the best driver we could ask for in Sri Lanka. With Mahesh we felt very safe in all the places we visited. He was very careful and diligent in driving, very discreet and kind and also the vehicle was very super luxurious. We visited all major attractions in a very comfortable way and Mahesh really managed to show us the beauties of this gorgeous island.
